A HISTORICAL VETERAN CONTINUES TO SUPPORT THE AFU

Vasyl Stepanovych Khomyzhenko is over a hundred years old. The veteran has not had an easy life. He comes from the village of Troitske (now the territory of Moldova), fought in World War II, was captured in Hungary, and served as a prisoner of war in Austria. Only in 1946 did he return to Tarutino, Odessa region, where he lives to this day. Vasyl Stepanovych knows about the horrors of war from his own experience, and now even from his very small pension, the man allocates funds and helps the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The team of the NGO "Culture of Democracy" decided to support the veteran within the framework of the "Caring Hearts" project, which is aimed at helping people of respectable age who receive food and hygiene kits.

The "Caring Hearts" project is implemented by the NGO "Culture of Democracy" with financial support from the international organization Church World Service CWS, a partner from New Zealand NZ support for Ukraine, and technical assistance from the Regional Development Agency of Odessa Region.
