A BUSINESS CONSULTING CENTER FOR WOMEN HAS BEEN OPENED IN ODESSA: SUPPORT, DEVELOPMENT, NEW OPPORTUNITIES

“This Center should become a place where women can not only receive professional advice, but also find inspiration, support, faith in their own strength and opportunities to realize their own potential,” said Olesya Baltazhi, manager of Acted Ukraine.
The opening of the Business Consulting Center for Women took place in Odessa, which will become a unique mobile space to support women in the Odessa region. Its main goal is to promote economic development, professional growth, improve the psychological well-being of women and establish their ties with communities and the business community. The opening was attended by representatives of the international organization Acted Ukraine, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor and Social Policy of the Odessa City Council Alla Chechelnytska, Head of the Department for the Implementation of Gender Policy, Prevention and Counteraction to Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking Natalia Medvid, Deputy Director of the Regional Development Agency of Odessa Region Olga Sorochenko, Head of the Odessa Branch of the Odessa Regional Employment Center Tetyana Kanava, Head of the Charity Fund "City of a Thousand Sources" of Nova Kakhovka Natalia Marchenko, as well as a representative of a relocated business from Kherson Valeria Vecherikova.

The project plans to conduct trainings and consultations on business planning, financial management, marketing and the implementation of innovative approaches to business development. Special emphasis is placed on supporting territorial communities of the region.

Women who wish to open their own business or need psychological support can call 093 161 01 01. Consultations are provided free of charge in online and offline formats.

The project is implemented by the public organization "Culture of Democracy" with financial support from the Government of Canada. Funding was provided through Canada's Foreign Policy—Global Affairs Canada in partnership with Acted Ukraine.
