On the first day of the annual global campaign "16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence", a solidarity evening was held at the National Opera of Ukraine, which was attended by representatives of the Government of Ukraine, diplomatic missions, international organizations, the public, opinion leaders and service providers in the field of combating gender-based violence.
A representative of the NGO "Culture of Democracy" took part in the solidarity evening "Hear in the Dark".
The solidarity evening "Hear in the Dark" symbolically united opera and ballet to show the path of victims - from darkness to light. As a sign of solidarity, the building of the National Opera of Ukraine was illuminated in orange, symbolizing a bright and violence-free future for women and girls.
The event was held at the initiative of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, with the support of UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine.
